About Family Friendly

Family Friendly is short-hand for a corporate culture or attitude - manifest in staff behaviour, environment, provision of services and product - which makes families feel comfortable, welcomed and listened to. Being “family friendly” means recognising that “families” have distinct - indeed defining - needs which may differ from those of other customers.

All About Audiences, the operators of this site, have had a long standing commitment to Family Friendly, instigating the Family Friendly project in 1998. This led to the development of the Family Friendly guiding principles and logo, later leading to the launch of a dedicated Family Friendly website. Now Family Friendly is joining forces to become part of its sister site Go See This making it easier than ever to find out what's on in Greater Manchester, from exhibitions, to music events, theatre shows and more.

Finding Family Friendly Events

To find out what's on for families, you can click on Events in the menu above in this, the dedicated family friendly section of the site. This will show you a full list of all the family friendly events currently on the website. Alternatively, you can use the Go Find search section to the right. Click on the plus sign next to "find what" to reveal all the event categories used on the website and select "family" to see all the family friendly events. You can also do a more advanced search and find a family event on a specific date by using the "find when" fields as well.

If you're just browing the site in general, you'll be able to spot which events are suitable for families by the presence of the family friendly logo. If the event meets the Family Friendly standards they will be tagged with this logo – a mark of quality that you can trust. The events will also include all those details that we know are essential for families, like age suitability and the running time of the event.

New Features

The site also has some fantastic new features that you can take advantage of, including the ability to create your own profile and manage your interests. You can add comments and reviews or use the planner to help you figure out what to see and when and you can even buy tickets for the things you want to see with the site's secure shopping basket.

News & Competitions

The Family Friendly e-newsletter will still be sent out each month to keep you up to date of what's on around the city and you'll still be able to try your luck at winning some amazing prizes with our Family Friendly competitions.
