2011 marked the very first Family Friendly Film Club Weekender. This project, devised by All About Audiences, aimed to help cultural venues across the North West improve their family offer and increase engagement with families.

The Film Club Weekender grew out of the Family Friendly Film Festival, which took place each summer for four years from 2007 - 2010 at venues across Greater Manchester. The aim of the project was to encourage new family audiences to arts and cultural venues by providing an accessible, low cost and most importantly fun & exciting offer for families.

The Family Friendly Film Club builds on the work of these projects enabling cultural venues around the North West to enhance their family offer throughout the year.
