Manchester Pride

Category: Festivals.

Manchester Pride (19-29 August 2011) is an annual festival celebrating lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender life, that also works to raise money for LGTB and HIV organisations.  Running for ten days at the end of August, the festival will feature sport, film, debating and campaigning, and arts and entertainment.  It culminates with the Big Weekend, a four-day ticketed event in Manchester's gay village that boasts a huge market and the Pride Parade.

Manchester Pride is not only one of the UK’s most prominent pride events, but also one of the largest events in Manchester, attracting visitors from across the world.

This event is supported by Manchester City Council as part of its annual programme of events and festivals. For more information visit unmissablemanchester.com
