¡Viva! Spanish & Latin American Film Festival returns to Cornerhouse for its 17th edition, bringing the best films from across Spain and Spanish-speaking Latin America to the heart of Manchester.
Look out for screenings accompanied by insightful introductions from local film experts or lively debates with the filmmakers themselves.
Highlights of this year’s festival include sumptuous Mexican period piece Arráncame la vida, Spanish satirical comedy Gordos, Argentinean coming-of-age tale with a twist El último verano de la Boyita, and a compelling documentary made with drug lord Pablo Escobar's son Los Pecados de mi padre. The festival is also accompanied by an exhibition from leading Colombian artist Oscar Muñoz.
