Venue Information
Located on the historic site of the world’s oldest surviving passenger railway station which is housed in five listed buildings, MOSI’s galleries and collections tell the story of Manchester’s scientific and industrial past, present and future.
Visitors can see the wheels of industry turning in the Power Hall, marvel at the planes that made flying history in the Air and Space Hall and walk through a reconstructed Victorian sewer complete with sounds and smells. Daily demonstrations of original mill engines, thunderous textile machinery and costumed historical characters and exciting events and activities make a visit to MOSI truly memorable.

Access & Facilities:
Accessible Parking: - A number of spaces are reserved for disabled visitors.
Accessible Pathways: - A network of smooth paths link the five buildings to make access across the cobbled site easier.
Accessible Toilets: - Available across site in different buildings.
Loan Service: - Wheelchair loans are available (£20 returnable deposit) as well as mobility seats*, magnifiers* and water bowls for guide dogs.

Wide Access Lift: - Lifts are available in most buildings.

Directions
MOSI is clearly sign posted from all main routes to Manchester’s city centre. Simply follow the brown tourist signs.
Limited car parking is available via Water Street - £5.00 (£3.00 after 3pm).
During school holidays the car park may be busy: please arrive early to avoid disappointment.
By Train: Nearest railway station - Deansgate.
By Tram: Nearest Metrolink tram station - G-Mex.
By Bus: Bus No 33 from Piccadilly Gardens stops outside the Museum on Liverpool Road.
