Venue Information
Salford Museum & Art Gallery has two permanent galleries, Lark Hill Place and The Victorian Gallery. The museum also has The Lifetimes Gallery which changes annually and three temporary exhibition spaces.
Lark Hill Place is a wonderful recreation of a typical northern street during Victorian times. You can visit the many shops and houses including a toy shop, a chemist, a grocer, a blacksmith and a cottage.
During your visit don’t forget to call in at the Gift Shop located in the foyer. The shop sells products inspired by the museum collections, local history books and contemporary crafts items produced by local designer-makers

Admission to Salford Museum & Art Gallery is free of charge, charges may apply for special events.

Salford Museum & Art Gallery is located next to Salford University and is approximately a 20 minute walk from central Manchester, via Chapel Street to the Crescent.
By train: Salford Crescent is the nearest railway station which is a five minutes walk from the museum.
By bus: Buses from Manchester, Bolton, Swinton and Eccles stop outside the museum on the Crescent (A6).
By car: The Museum is easily reached from Greater Manchester motorway network. From the north, leave the M60 at Junction 16 (A666) or, from the South, follow the signs from the end of the M602. Car parking is avaliable on-site charged at £2 for upto 3 hours and £5 for over 3 hours.
