The Girl Who Played With Fire

The Girl Who Played Wth Fire (Flickan som lekte med elden) is the film adaptation of the second of Steig Larson's wildly popular crime trilogy; picking up where The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo left off, it starts with Lisbeth Salander returning to Sweden after a year abroad.  She finds herself under suspicion of three murders - a journalist and his girlfriend, and her guardian, Nils Bjurman (fans of Dragon Tattoo might recall the scene where Nils assaults Lisbeth and she retaliates by tattooing his abdomen).  Lisbeth goes on the run, and Mikael Blomkvist, her ally from the first film, has to find her before the authorities do.

If you liked the first film, you're likely to enjoy the second; the plot is a little more clear, and once again, Noomi Rapace turns in an impressive performance as Lisbeth Salander.

In Swedish, Italian and French with full English subtitles
