Food festivals & events to tantalise your taste buds this summer.

Sample a selection of the finest food and drink from some of the best British producers at the award winning Summer Food Fair, at the Chatsworth Estate Farm Shop. Look out for the well stocked delicatessen treats and delicious patisseries. On until 30 July, 9am- 5.30pm with free entry and parking.

Stockport Foodie Friday takes place by the Victorian Market Hall and surrounding cobbled streets in Stockport’s historic old town.  Head along for a variety of food stalls, live music and a warm atmosphere. This memorable night out for the whole family runs from 6pm – 9pm on the last Friday of every month.

Market House at Altrincham Market is the place to find the best wood-fired sourdough pizza outside of Italy by Honest Crust. Bring the whole family (including the dog) to enjoy the wonderful atmosphere in the covered seating area. Handmade macaroons from Sam Joseph are the perfect accompaniment to the Market House Coffee. Open Tuesday – Sunday.

Bolton Food and Drink Festival takes place over the August bank holiday weekend. Expect to see famous chefs such as Ainsley Harriot and James Martin showing off their skills. Missed out on a ticketed event? Don’t worry there are also free cookery demonstrations each day from local and regional chefs. There are also events to keep the little ones occupied as you can join Alice and the Mad Hatter at their tea party.

A little later this year the nationally acclaimed Manchester Food and Drink Festival takes place across the city.
